2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plaintext.

Assistant Configuration

During onboarding, we collect information needed to set up your OpenClaw assistant, such as your assistant name, preferred channel, and configuration preferences. We do not store your third-party API keys on our servers — they are passed directly to your assistant during setup.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive and store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.

Contact Submissions

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry.

Automatically Collected Information

We may collect standard technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, and pages visited. This data is used solely for improving the Service and diagnosing issues.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Set up and configure your OpenClaw assistant
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • Improve and maintain the Service
  • Send important service-related communications (e.g., account changes, security notices)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party providers. Each has its own privacy practices:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • LLM Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) — your assistant communicates with these providers using your own API keys. We are not responsible for data processed by these providers. Please review their respective privacy policies.

5. Data Related to Your Assistant

Startclaw does not have access to the conversations or data processed by your OpenClaw assistant. Once your assistant is set up, interactions with the assistant occur directly between you and your chosen LLM provider. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the data handling practices of your LLM provider.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us through our contact page.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Request a portable copy of your data
